National Association for Ethical Standards in Advertising (NAESA)
NAESA is an independent, non-governmental and non- profit association that defines and enables the enforcement of ethical standards in advertising and marketing communications, promotes and supports use of ethical principals in market communications and adherence to the code of marketing communications (IAA Serbian Chapter), as well as to other self-regulatory standards prescribed by the Internatiional Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and European Advertising Standards Alliance.
Self-regulation
Self-regulation is a system that enables marketing industry to actively regulate itself. It promotes four basic principles, specifically: advertising has to be legal, truthful, decent and honorable.
Mission statement
Serbian self-regulatory body was established on April 10, 2019 called the National Association for Ethical Standards in Advertising (NAESA). It was registered as a professional association, and Founding Assembly was held on the next day in Belgrade.
NAESA: Members and bodies
Bodies of the National Association for Ethical Standards in Advertising (NAESA) are: Assembly, Managing Board, Committee and Executive Director. The Assembly is the highest body of the Association and it consists of all members of the Association. The Managing Board is the Executive Body of the Association that ensures implementation of NAESA goals.
The NAESA recognizes two kinds of membership- full and associated.
Full member can be any legal entity that independently operates within area relevant for advertising and marketing communications (advertisers, agencies, media outlets, providers of legal services in the area of marketing communications and advertising)…
Associate members can be the other legal entities not working within the same business activities as full members (like professional associations, non-profit and non-governmental organizations).
